From Funny to Suspenseful

Let's Pretend This Never Happened was by far one of the funniest books I've ever read. Yes, Jenny Lawson uses a few more curse words than I normally find palatable in a book; however, I was able to overlook it because her stories were just so hilarious. From squirrel puppets to the zombie apocalypse to a grandma that thought Hitler was "a sad little man who probably didn't get hugged enough when he was little." Jenny Lawson really made us all laugh and made me want to start communicating with my husband with post its. Our next book (Mistress of the Art of Death by Ariana Franklin) will bring us to a completely different place. It promises dark suspense with a historical background.
